Introducing: Spin Maddox – Dark Lines

The young and talented electro-pop artist Spin Maddox is back with the lead single Dark Lines of his upcoming debut EP. He was born in a small town outside of Pittsburgh and moved to LA back in 2013, where he found his passion for music. After being in a local band he started to release his solo music since 2016. So far, he was featured in Popstar! Magazine and on the major music blog BreatheHeavy. Another highlight was that he worked with Graham Edwards a member of the songwriting trio The Matrix, who has worked with the artists: Avril Lavigne (Sk8er Boi, Complicated), Shakira, Katy Perry, and Britney Spears back in the early 2000s. For his solo music Spin feels inspired by the artists Justin Timberlake, Janelle Monáe, and Pharrell Williams. Today he counts over 7.8K followers on Instagram and over 4.1K monthly listeners on Spotify.

He had his debut in November 2016 with the single Fire. A catchy electro-pop dance song I newly discovered but will keep streaming for sure. His vocals are impressive and the production sounds dynamic. Fire has reached over 6K streams so far on Spotify. There is even an aesthetic music video on his YouTube channel, in which they worked with symbolism. I’ll link it at the end. Over the years he released 8 more singles. Some of my favorites are: Ride or Die (Sorry for Yuh), Timelines and Prosper, which also has a beautiful music video, shot in the desert.

Spin describes his new music as: “My music right now is VERY pop, and it’s just all about having a good time when you’re listening. My sound is always changing which is why it took so long for me to get a set together that was really cohesive.”

On his new funky electro-pop track Dark Lines, Spin has no boundaries and wants to cross some dark lines with his lover’s body. You can clap along or shake your booty while listening to this banger, it’s up to you. However, get ready for some sexual tension. Dark Lines gives me also some Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man vibes production-wise and I love it.

You’ll love his music if you miss the early 2000s pop songs, I do! Spin is excited and ready to release his full set of music he has been working on for so long in a 6-track EP. He told me that he’ll also start working on his debut album right after his EP release later this year. We can say that he is just getting started. You better follow him on his socials, so you don’t miss his upcoming music.
