Introducing: Cimo Fränkel – Debut Album

In this blog post, I want to introduce to you the incredibly talented Dutch singer, songwriter and producer Cimo Fränkel (31). He has released his self-titled debut album on the 10th of April this year. With currently over 435K monthly listeners on Spotify, he is a rising star you should keep an eye on. He’s not a stranger in the music industry since he owns more than a decade of working experience. Cimo also had music in his blood the day he was born since his father was a funk musician in Amsterdam. He was raised in the middle of funk culture, which he represents with the opening track Drifting on his record featuring his father.

With only 15 years he discovered his passion and talent for music production. After being honored with several local song-writing awards it was time for him to fly to Los Angeles. In 2016 Cimo co-wrote on the multi-platinum hit single ‘Sex’ by the well-known Cheat Codes, he also wrote for other famous artists like Snoop Dogg, Conor Maynard, OMI and HRVY. He collaborated most recently with the famous Dutch DJs Armin van Buuren and R3HAB. In 2017 Armin van Buuren even took him on his arena tour.

Since 2017 Cimo released a dozen singles as a solo artist being influenced by different genres. He collected them all with some additional tracks on his self-titled debut record. My personal favorites are the tropical Live Without You, his reggae-pop single Stay The Night, the dance track Gamble and his most recent R&B influenced single World Is Waking Up. Alongside the singles he also released a bunch of music videos, I’ll link my favorites down below. I can’t wait to see this talented man live on stage one day but until then I’ll keep streaming his music. Now it’s your turn, go and check him out wherever you listen to your music.
